Allele or allelomorphs

 Allele 

                 Allele is nothing but a form of gene which may be different in effect that is one gene may have different effect carring sequences called alleles.Full form of allele is Allelomorph.simply different form of gene is called allele.Alleles are located on same locus or location on different chromosomes.

                 In case of tallness in plant two alleles are present one is responsible for tallness while other for dwarfness this are called as bi-alleles. Gene is of hight while trait expressed by allele is either tall or Dwarf.



Homozygous alleles and Heterozygous alleles:-

               If one gene governs both alleles exactly same then it  is called as Homozygous alleles.In other case if a gene governs two allelomorphs of different traits called Heterozygous alleles.Example if a plant carries both alleles of tallness it is homozygous while if it carries one allele of tallness and other allele of dwarfness called as Heterozygous alleles.

Polymorphic alleles:- 

               If a gene carries more than two forms of allele it is termed as polymorphic alleles and trait is called as under polymorphic condition.example in humans height is under conrol of polymorphic gene.
that it has more than two allelomorphs,

Locus of allele in respect of gene:-

               Every allele is located on same locus or location of chromosome while this alleles are some what altered. If allele is present in its wild form it is called as Wild allele.If allele is present in altered or mutated form it is called as Mutant allele.


Reason of Alteredness in Alleles:-

               This alteration in allele arises due to if one base pair termed as Single Nucleotide Polymorphism or SNP. This is lowest case of alteredness. If alterdness is in extram form it can range from thounds to more than thousand base pairs. or nucleotides.This alteration in base pair is because of mutation.

        
                 Humans contain diploid cell that it contain two chromosomes of same type.Every set has either same or different form of gene i..e. allelomorph.So as humans have two chromosomes possible alleles becomes two, in rare case it can be multiple.

Dominant allele and Recessive allele:-

                 If one allele exprsses itself in ther presence of other allele while other allele is in supressed form then the allele which nexpress itself is called as Dominant allele and allele which is supressed called Recessive allele.

Benefit and Harm of Allelomorphs:-

              & nbsp;The presence of different alleles at a time may result in Beneficial character or Harmful character, Example In beneficial case disease resistance in plant is goverened by wild allele in most cases while some wild alleles are responsible for susceptible character in its harmful effect.

So this was all about a Allele or Allelomorphs.
